CRIME VICTIM ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) is a government-funded program that covers counselling services to help individuals recover from the effects of traumatic events. If you or an immediate family member have been victimized by violence, including physical or sexual abuse, or you have been a witness to such crimes, you may be eligible for financial assistance to cover therapy costs.

I am a registered therapist with CVAP and I can handle billing directly with the government on your behalf if you receive approval for funding through CVAP.

You will find  resources available to you at VictimLink BC which is a toll-free, confidential, multilingual telephone service available across B.C. and the Yukon 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-800-563-0808.

VictimLink BC provides information and referral services to all victims of crime and immediate crisis support to victims of family and sexual violence, including victims of human trafficking exploited for labour or sexual services.
